Agribusiness Development Project for Moldova

Under the Private Farmer Commercialization program in Moldova, which is financed by USAID, Agrin organized a 10 days study tour in Turkey for 12 Moldavian experts to increase their knowledge on growing fruits and vegetables in open fields, tunnels, and greenhouses, as well as post harvest processes and marketing of products. The training program was carried out in Southern region of Turkey and covered about 19 institutions in Adana, Mersin and Antalya provinces.

In addition to theoretical classroom lectures, site visits were organized to the most outstanding research institutions, fruit and vegetable producers, agro-processing and marketing facilities within the region. Key issues assessed were; production and processing techniques, packaging, marketing, input supply and quality control (EUROGAP etc.).
