The general purpose of this project was to promote an effective implementation of the EU financial assistance for rural development under the Rural Development Sector Programme and prepared the Turkish Cypriot community for the future implementation of the acquis communautaire.
Crop Husbandry Project aims; to reduce significantly the amount of water applied per crop and maximise water use efficiency for fruit, vegetable and field crops to overcome scarcity and salinity of water; to improve economic viability of crops under irrigation and dry farming in order to increase farmers’ welfare; to design production system according to market needs ; to perform all the activities in an interactive way with the involvement of key partners (public and private).
The project aims to improve the hygiene and sustainability of livestock production through a combination of activities to strengthen both the provision of animal husbandry farm advisory services and veterinary services, as well as to inform and guide stakeholders.
The aims of the project were
• Strengthening of the capabilities of the Veterinary Services for the effective and efficient control and eradication of FMD
• Provision of technical assistance to the GDPC and FMD Institute for the preparation of an application dossier to be submitted to OIE for the recognition of Thrace as ‘FMD free zone where vaccination is practiced’
• Development and implementation of programmes for raising public awareness to more successfully implement and manage FMD control

In 1996, AGRIN was awarded a contract to establish the Project Implementation Unit to carry out the over all management, as well as monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the Kyrgyz Sheep Development Project, including procurement, finance/accounting, and disbursement functions on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources (MAWR).
The purpose of this project is to “serve the long term and large scale protection of biodiversity Yildiz Mountains (Istranca forest) on the Turkish side of the region by carrying out inventories and mapping, designing zonation, developing management plans and implementing management within the established UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve”, inventory and planning of the Yildiz Mountains as a BR; forming cooperation between Turkish and Bulgarian institutions; training and awareness raising activities and renovation of a training centre.
Agrin provided co-management of this study, as well as expertise on public relations, stakeholder analysis, communication, environmental education, environmental awareness and biodiversity.
The global objective of this Project is to bring the Turkish Cypriot Community closer to the European Union through Community scholarships. Under this Project Turkish Cypriot students and teachers are awarded grants to spend up to one academic year in a university in one of the Member States, offering them additional educational opportunities to raise their knowledge in a technical field.
The overall objective of the project of which this contract will be a part is as follows:
To increase the efficiency of veterinary policies through sectoral multi-annual planning, raise awareness among stakeholders and strengthen their commitment to achieve the defined targets, ensure the financing of required actions, improve the animal health and welfare situation in the country, contribute to alignment with the EU Acquis in the veterinary field and the fulfilment of the relevant closing benchmarks set for Chapter 12-Food Safety, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Policies, as well as Turkey's international obligations in the animal health field.

The project is designed to provide electronic identification and registration of ovine and caprine animals in Turkey as well as to promote public awareness on this issue. Primary target groups will be are farmers, keepers and animal owners. Project team will also be responsible from training of MoFAL staff on awareness raising, related EU legislation etc. Consortium will also assist the Beneficiary for the organization of the electronic eartagging operation of 24,2 million animals during these 2 years. A comprehensive communication strategy will be developed and implemented.
The overall objective of the project is “to promote an inclusive labour market with opportunities for disadvantaged persons, with a view to their sustainable integration into labour force and combat all forms of discrimination in the labour market”There are two associated purposes of this TA project, ie, to increase awareness on the problems of disadvantaged groups and combating labour market discrimination against them; and to increase the institutional capacity ofthe MOLSS Department of Employment Policies as well as that of thesocial partners in this area. Agrin is executing this project in cooperation with European consultancy firm Niras IC sp.z.o.o from Poland, State Fund for the Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities from Poland and an NGO TKV from Turkey.
