The purpose of this project is to “serve the long term and large scale protection of biodiversity Yildiz Mountains (Istranca forest) on the Turkish side of the region by carrying out inventories and mapping, designing zonation, developing management plans and implementing management within the established UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve”, inventory and planning of the Yildiz Mountains as a BR; forming cooperation between Turkish and Bulgarian institutions; training and awareness raising activities and renovation of a training centre.
Agrin provided co-management of this study, as well as expertise on public relations, stakeholder analysis, communication, environmental education, environmental awareness and biodiversity.
In 1998-1999 a German Company in association with AGRIN was contracted by EU to establish a project management unit in Ankara, for the overall management of the MEDA Programme in Turkey.

AGRIN was awarded a contract by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic, to establish a computerised Financial Management System and to prepare the “Financial Management and Accounting Policy Manual” for the Irrigation Rehabilitation Project. The manual was prepared in line with international accounting standards and the World Bank’s requirements. Additionally, AGRIN has trained the project staff for the operation of the Financial Management System.
Agrin organized a study tour in Turkey for 11 Azeri experts to introduce to participants organizational aspects of various business, related to textile sector production processing, technologies applied, marketing business, sorting, packaging, storing and quality control of products etc.

Under the Private Farmer Commercialization program in Moldova, which is financed by USAID, Agrin organized a 10 days study tour in Turkey for 12 Moldavian experts to increase their knowledge on growing fruits and vegetables in open fields, tunnels, and greenhouses, as well as post harvest processes and marketing of products. The training program was carried out in Southern region of Turkey and covered about 19 institutions in Adana, Mersin and Antalya provinces.

Agrin has organized a study tour in Turkey for 10 Azeri experts to increase their knowledge on Information and Advisory Services consistent with international standards.
Agrin was entrusted a contract by the State Hydraulic Works (DSI) to organize and administer a training program for the relevant staff of Water User Associations (WUAs), for the purpose of obtaining a licence to work as a "Heavy Current Worker". For this purpose, Agrin formed a cooperation with the Electricity Technologies and Training Centre (located at Soma) of the Turkish Electricity Authority, (TEIAS). Seventy eight electric technicians from different WUAs, as well as DSI regional offices have attended to this program, which lasted 4 weeks. Participants who were successful at the final examination received a certificate of "Heavy Current Worker".
